Why can't you understand it? I'm not an English speaker, and could perfectly understood everything... much better should do an English speaker reader of this!!!

This is pretty cool but is there something you can do to make it English? Some parts of the OS are in German. This isn't really a critical thing since the main things you would be doing on this are in English but it would be nice to have it 100% English. Thanks.

It was hard for me to understand what you mean. I would strongly recommend you to have someone who speaks english, check your posts before posting them. Oh and you are posting about something that is illegal, don't be surprised if your hosting service asks you to remove the page.

You seem to be confused. What you have is not Windows XP, it's a trimmed down version of windows known as WinPE (this is further enforced by the "Bart PE" title). WinPE is usually used for deployment processes, though can be customized to your hearts delight. It's available through microsoft and is completely legal. But i repeat, it is NOT fully equiped like XP is.

It works great with Virtual PC. Just create a virtual machine, start it,
then go to menu→File→Pause,
then go to menu→CD→Capture_iso_image,
then navigate to the extracted rar folder you downloaded and select BartPe.iso,
then go back to menu→File→resume to unpause the virtual machine.

This is pretty good article, but it looks like it was translated with a program. Since it is in English I assume you expect English speaking people to read it. I took the liberty of correcting the most obvious mistakes. As it is, it is very annoying to read. Please replace each paragraph with the ones below. I had to completely delete a few sentences that made no sense at all, but I do not think the main idea has been altered. It would be much easier(for an English speaker) to read is all.

Recently, there have been many Linux live CDs. This is an alternative for those who don’t want to install Linux on their hard drive. The live CD may also become a problem solver when the system won't boot up or if something has happened to the system you may rescue your files with the CD. Beside the CDs, one distribution of Linux named DSL comes with damn live USB! Note that this method requires a computer which has the ability to boot from USB devices.

By chance, I heard something about Windows XP live in a USB flash disk. This is very interesting to me and I wanted to try it. In seconds, there was a secure link referred to the download page from Google. Its size is about 54MB and the link is here.

After it has completely downloaded, the packages need to extracted with WinRAR ~ since it is compressed with RAR format somehow. Finally, there are 7 files extracted from it. The first 2 files are the manual in German and Russian. You might not find the English documentation because bartPE seems to have been developed by a German. First of all, we need to provide a USB stick with a minimal size of 256MB. Then, make a fresh quick format with hpusbfw.exe tool included in the packages. See the picture below.

After the format process is done, reboot the system and be sure to activate the USB boot sequence from BIOS ~ while the USB disk is still plugged in. Let the computer boot from it and it will display a boot process in the monitor. The boot processes may take a while depending upon the USB storage speed, so it would be great if you also prepare a coffee and a cigarette while waiting for the desktop to show up.

The default desktop background is covered by dark bartPE pictures. In the left corner there is a “Go” button ~ representing a Start button in a real Windows. Click on it, it will raise a list of simple menus pointing to the default applications such as Windows Wordpad, the Calculator program, Paint image editor & a file manager called A43 which replaces the Windows Explorer.

Note that this USB live is also equipped with the full functionality of command prompt. From the picture below, it’s DOS actually comes from a real Windows XP.

To view detailed system information, take a tour of the About menu. It will display simple core information like the system environment and other embedded programs.

Look at the picture below again, an About link from the Paint program is exactly the same as the About you might find in a real Windows. However, it is in German entirely.

Although it has great advantages, eg: to rescue the system, it’s legality to use is questionable. This is one link from several address pages about the proprietary law legality. Enjoy its mobility.
